Abstract
Fremgangsmåte for å fjerne svovelforbindelser og karbondioksid fra en gasstrøm omfattende svovelforbindelser, inklusive hydrogensulfid og merkaptaner, hvilken fremgangsmåte omfatter trinnene: (a) vasking av gasstrømmen med en vandig aminvaskeoppløsning for å fjerne hydrogensulfid, eventuelt karbondioksid og en andel av merkaptanene for å oppnå en første renset gasstrøm; (b) føring av den første rensede gasstrøm gjennom én eller flere molekylsiler for ytterligere å fjerne merkaptaner for å oppnå en andre renset gasstrøm; (c) å bringe den andre rensede gasstrøm og en hydrogenstrøm i kontakt med en hydrogeneringskatalysator under hydrogeneringsbetingelser for å oppnå en tredje renset gasstrøm; og (d) føring av den tredje rensede gasstrøm gjennom ett eller flere hydrogensulfidoppfangningssjikt for å oppnå renset gass. Med oppfinnelsen tilveiebringes det ytterligere en fremgangsmåte for oppstarting av en slik prosess.
