Abstract
En fremgangsmåte for gjenvinning av karbondioksid, omfattende: (a) et absorbsjonstrinn der en karbondioksidholdig gasstilførselsstrøm bringes i gass-væske kontakt med et absorberende fluid, hvorved i det minste en del av karbondioksidet tilstede i gasstrømmen absorberes inn i det absorberende fluidet for å produsere (i) en raffinert gasstrøm med et redusert karbondioksidinnhold og (ii) et karbondioksidrikt, absorberende fluid, (b) et regenereringstrinn der det karbondioksidrike, absorberende fluidet behandles ved et trykk på mer enn 3 bar (absolutt trykk) for å frigjøre karbondioksid og regenerere et karbondioksidfattig, absorberende fluid som resirkuleres for bruk i absorbsjonstrinnet, hvori det absorberende fluidet er en vandig aminløsning inneholdende et tertiært alifatisk alkanolamin og en effektiv mengde karbondioksidabsorbsjonspromotor, der det tertiære alifatiske alkanolaminet viser lite nedbrytning under spesifiserte betingelser når det gjelder temperatur og trykk under sameksistens med karbondioksid. Det tertiære alifatiske alkanolaminet inneholder ikke, i dets molekylstruktur, et nitrogenatom som er substituert med mer enn én 2-hydroksyetylhalvdeler, eller et nitrogenatom som er substituert med både en 2-hydroksyetylhalvdel og en metylhalvdel. Foretrukne tertiære alifatiske alkanolaminer er valgt fra gruppen bestående av N-etyldietanolamin, 2-(dimetylamino)-etanol, 2-(dietylamino)-etanol, 3-(dimetylamino)-1-propanol, 3-(dietylamino)-1-propanol, 1-(dimetylamino)-2-propanol og 2-(diisopropylamino)-etanol.
