Abstract
Fremgangsmåte for begrensning av støy i et mottakersignal fra en elektromagnetisk undersøkelse med styrt kilde. En diskret wavelettransformasjon utføres på signalet, og de resulterende detaljkoeffisientene trunkeres ved å anvende en valgt terskelverdi, som kan være null. Ytterligere nivåer av dekomponering kan bli utført på tilnærmingskoeffisientene fra det foregående nivået. Etter det siste dekomponeringsnivået gjenoppbygges et støybegrensningsbehandlet signal ved å utføre den inverse wavelettransformasjonen på det siste settet av tilnærmingskoeffisienter kombinert med de tersklede detaljkoeffisientene akkumulert fra alle dekomponeringsnivåer.
