Abstract
En fremgangsmåte for å bestemme cellulosefiberegenskaper, slik som restlignininnhold i kjemisk masse, med hjelp av en spektroskopisk teknikk oppnådd over et område som dekker de synlige og de nær-infrarøde områder av det elektromagnetiske spekteret, omfattende trinnene av å oppnå en prøve fra prosesslinjen, minimalt fjerne noe overskuddsvann, utsette fibrene i prøven for en stor lysstrålekilde, valgfritt å bevege prøven ved en konstant hastighet, og innhente spektraldataene over en forhåndsbestemt tidsperiode, og korrelere spekteret til en tidligere bestemt kalibrering for å bestemme Kappa-tallet.
