Abstract

Det beskrives en fremgangsmåte for å forbedre massekvaliteten ved høye produksjonshastigheter med koniske skiveraffinører. Metoden tillater en reduksjon av raffineringsintensiteten ved å muliggjøre øket fiberoppholdstid ved å øke konsistensen mens man samtidig unngår problemer med flatetilstopping slik det vanligvis skjer med høy utslippskonsistens. I praksis blir innløpskonsistensen øket ved fødefortynning, flatsonefortynning eller begge deler, men uten å tillate at utløpskonsistensen stiger. I stedet blir utslippskonsistensen kontrollert ved en fast, optimal verdi ved tilsetning av fortynningsvann i den koniske sone. Resultatet er at oppholdstiden økes og raffineringsintensiteten reduseres, ved å øke konsistensen i det indre området av raffineringssonen, mens man samtidig unngår platetilstopping forårsaket av eksessiv konsistens i det ytre området av raffineringssonen.
