Abstract

Oppfinnelsen foreslår en anordning for materialprøving av et testobjekt (4) som inneholder i det minste deler av elektrisk ledende og ferromagnetisk materiale og omfatter minst en bearbeidet overflate (5) med minst en elektromagnetisk ultralydtransduserenhet (EMUS) som omfatter en permanent eller elektromagnetisk enhet (1) med minst to magnetpoler (N, S) med forskjellig magnetisk polaritet som vender mot den bearbeidede overflaten (5), så vel som minst en virvelstrømspole (2) som er anordnet i et utspring på den bearbeidede overflaten (5) mellom de to magnetpolene (N, S) i indirekte eller direkte relasjon til den bearbeidede overflaten (5). Oppfinnelsen er kjennetegnet ved at den minst ene virvelstrømspolen (2) er utformet og anordnet på en slik måte at frie ultralydbølger (2) som hovedsakelig forplanter seg inne i testobjektet (4) perpendikulært til den bearbeidede overflaten (5), blir generert når virvelstrømspolen (2) forsynes med en vekselstrøm.
