Abstract

Den foreliggende oppfinnelse omfatter en anordning for bestemmelse av rullingsorientering til et legeme med hensyn til et lokalt fast koordinatsystem eller en forbestemt referansevektor. Anordningen bruker en måling av et ytre magnetisk felt, så som ordens magnetiske felt, for å fastslå en rullingsorienteringsreferanse med hensyn til feltet eller en ukompensert rullingsorientering. Den ukompenserte rullingsorienteringen justeres deretter i samsvar med en awiksvinkel, så som en vinkelforskjell mellom det ytre magnetiske feltet og et lokalt fast koordinatsystem, for å bestemme rullingsorienteringen til anordningen med hensyn til det lokale faste koordinatsystemet eller en kompensert rullingsvinkel.
