Abstract

En fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av magnetiske grafittmaterialer fra grafitt i en andre beholder (3) som reagerer med ett eller flere overgangsmetalloksider og i en første beholder (2) ved et volumforhold på 1:1 i en lukket reaktor (1), varmet til en temperatur mellom 600 °C og smeltepunktet til overgangsoksidet (ene) i 6 til 36 timer, under et trykk på 10 atmosfærer ved hjelp av en inert overføringsgass gjennom et innløp (5) og et vakuum mellom 10-2 torr til 10-7 torr gjennom et utløp (6) for å oppnå, ved slutten av prosessen, et grafittmateriale med langtidsvarende magnetiske egenskaper ved romtemperatur. Det fremstilte materialet utviser en kompleks struktur, med porer, bunter, søyler og kanter av eksponerte grafener og finner anvendelse i nanoteknologi, magnetisk avbildning innen medisin, anvendelse innen kommunikasjon, elektronikk, sensorer, til og med biosensorer, katalyse eller separasjon av magnetiske materialer.
