Abstract

Oppfinnelsen vedrører en fremgangsmåte for å separere og isolere et acylert derivat av 4-[(S)-4- dimetylamino-l-(4-fluorfenyl)-l-hydroksybutyl]-3-hydroksymetylbenzonitril ved reaksjon av en blanding av 4-[(S)-4-dimetylamino-l-(4-fluorfenyl)-l-hydroksy-butyl]-3-hydroksymetylbenzonitrilet og et acylert derivat derav med en forbindelse som danner et derivat av 4-[(S)-4-dimetylamino-l-(4-fluorfenyl)-l-hydroksy-butyl]- 3-hyd-roksymetylbenzonitrilet inneholdende en karboksylsyregruppe. Det acylerte derivat inneholdende en karboksylsyregruppe presipiterer med en gang det er dannet og kan med letthet separeres fiia reaksjonsblandingen.
