Abstract

Oppfinnelsen vedrører en fremgangsmåte for å fremstille en fast del for å danne en hel anode eller en del derav for fremstilling av aluminium ved smelteelektrolyse og som omfatter en cermet dannet av minst en type av metalloksid slik som et spinell-blandet oksid inneholdende et R metall i form av kationer i den kjemiske struktur derav. Det nevnte R metall er helt eller delvis reduserbart ved en reduksjonsoperasjon under en produksjonsprosess på en slik måte at hele metallfasen eller delen derav dannes. Fremgangsmåten ifølge oppfinnelsen gjør det mulig å oppnå en cermet hvis metallfase omfatter en homogen fordeling av fine metallpartikler.
