Abstract
Manipuleringen av lyddata kan forenkels, så som f.eks. med henblikk på kombinasjon av individuelle lyddatastrømmer til multikanal-lyddatastrømmer eller generell manipulasjon av en lyddatastrøm, ved å modifisere (56) en datablokk i en lyddatastrøm (10) som er oppdelt i datablokker (10a, lOb) med bestemmelsesblokk (14, 16) og datablokklyddata (18), for eksempel ved komplettering hhv. tilføyelse eller erstatning av en del av den samme, slik at denne omfatter en lengdeangivelse som angir en datamengde henholdsvis en lenge av datablokklyddata eller en datamengde henholdsvis en lengde av datablokken for å oppnå en andre lyddatastrøm med modifiserte datablokker. Alternativt omformes eller konverteres en lyddatastrøm (10) med pekere i bestemmelsesblokker (14, 16) som peker på bestemmelsesblokklyddata som er knyttet til disse bestemmelsesblokker, men er fordelt blant forskjellige datablokker, til en lyddatastrøm, hvor bestemmelsesblokklyddata (44, 46) kombineres til sammenhengende bestemmelsesblokklyddata (48). De sammenhengende bestemmelsesblokklyddata (48) kan da være inneholdt i et selvstendig eller i seg selv lukket kanalelement (52a) sammen med sin bestemmelsesblokk (14,16)
