Abstract
Foreliggende oppfinnelse vedrører implementeringen av en tauet passivsonar med flerstråleantenne. Denne passive anordning er særlig innrettet for anti-ubåt krigføring. Anordningen ifølge oppfinnelsen omfatter hovedsakelig en flerstråleantenne, en elektrisk tauingsline og signalprosesseringsmidler. Flerstråleantennen omfatter elementer laget i form av polyuretanplater i hvilke det er inkludert akustiske sensorer arrangert i rekker. Hver sensor er forbundet med signalprosesseringsmidlene uavhengig av de andre sensorene. Antennen omfatter videre en posisjonssensor for å kjenne sin retning og sin orientering i mediet som den taues i. Siden signalene mottatt av sensorene rutes separat til signalprosesseringsmidlene, kan anordningen ifølge oppfinnelsen brukes til å frembringe en adaptiv frembringelse av lyttestråler, eller kanaler, som kan orienteres i alle retninger rundt antennen, idet retningen av hver av strålene kan kjennes uavhengig av orienteringen og retningene av antennen. Antennen taues av moderfartøyet ved hjelp av en elektrisk tauingsline som gir den elektriske og mekaniske forbindelse mellom antennen og utstyret plassert om bord på tauingsfartøyet. Anordningen ifølge oppfinnelsen presenterer en fordel av å ha ytelseskarakteristikker sammenlignbare med passive sonarer utstyrt med lineære antenner for betydelig mindre vekt og arealbehov.
