Abstract
Fremgangsmåte for generering av elektrisitet og produksjon av en konsentrert karbondioksidstrøm under anvendelse av en smeltet karbonatbrenselcelle (1). Anodeavgass blir i det minste delvis innmatet i en katalytisk etterbrenner (9) hvor den blir oksidert med en oksidant bestående av en del av katodeavgassen og/eller en del av en ekstern oksidantstrøm som inneholder molekylært oksygen, iden den eksteme oksidantstrøm omfatter høyst 20 % (v/v) nitrogen. Den oksiderte anodeavgass bringes i varmevekslingskontakt med resten av katodeavgassen og resten av den eksteme oksidantstrøm for å oppnå avkjølt anodeavgass og en oppvarmet blanding av katodeavgass og ekstem oksidant som innmates i katodekammeret (13) som katodeinnløpsgassen. Sfraks et på forhånd bestemt punkt for karbondioksidkonsentrasjonen ved katodekammerets utløp nås, bhr en del av den avkjølte anodeavgass jernet fra prosessen.
