Abstract

Det er vist en røykdetektor hvor blått lys ledes gjennom et spredningsvolum (9) fra en strålingsemitter (3), og infrarød stråling ledes også gjennom spredningsvolumet (9) fra en infrarød kilde (3 A). Fremoverspredt stråling ved eventuelle partikler i spredningsvolumet (9) ledes ved hjelp av et speil (13) til en fotodiode (15) som frembringer en utgangseffekt til et kontrollmiddel (16). Emitterne (3, 3A) pulses ved forskjellige frekvenser, hvilket gjør det mulig for kontrollmiddelet (16) å frembringe separate signaler (21, 23) som respektivt korresponderer til det spredte blå lyset og den spredte infrarøde strålingen. For røykpartikler spres vesentlig mer blått lys enn infrarød stråling, men dette er ikke tilfellet i så stor grad for partikler som ikke er røyk. En komparator (25) bruker forholdet mellom de to signaler (21, 23) for å frembringe en røykavhengig varslingsutgang.
