Abstract

Fremgangsmåte for å operere en ovn (10) for fyring med faststoff-brensel av den type som har et antall vindkasser (20) som hver har et antall kamre (32,48) gjennom hvilke brennstoff og luft tilføres ovnen. Fremgangsmåten omfatter å tilføre primærluft og brensel gjennom samme kammer (32, 48) inn i ovnen i en retning som er tangentiell til en første tenkt sirkel (92) generelt lokalisert i sentrum av ovnen for å skape en roterende ildkule. Fremgangsmåten inkluderer også tilførsel av luft over forbrenningen samt avviksluft inn i ovnen (10), idet awiksluften er den del av tilsatt luft som støtter en andre tenkt sirkel (96) som er konsentrisk med og har større diameter enn den første tenkte sirkel (92). Fortrinnsvis er den totale luftmengde som tilføres ovnen delt i følgende forhold: total luft 100%, awiksluft inntil 40%, overbrennerluft inntil 50%, mens sum av primærluft og brenselluft utgjør minst 20%.
