Abstract

For å overføre Ethemet-datapakker via radiorammer (350) i et storbynett for trådløs kommuni- kasjon brukes terminaler (100, 100') med en mottaker for å motta datapakkene via en kommunikasjonsvei (102). Datapakkéne har ikke alle samme lengde. Videre brukes et formateringsapparat (228) for formatering for å passe ril radiorammene-(350),_idet^disse.alle .har samme lengde. Formateringen utføres slik at pakkenes grenseområder ikke nødvendigvis,kommer.til .å flukte..........._____.. . med radiorammenes grenseområder. For overføring via kommunikasjonsveien (102) brukes en sender/mottaker i form av en mikrobølgemodul (246). Ethernet-datapak- kene kan være i kategori Fast Ethernet. I terminalene (100, 100') omvandles pak- kene ikke ved bruk av kjente overføringsprotokoller (f.eks. ATM) før formidlingen av radiorammene via kommunikasjonsveien (102). Terminalene kan ha et synkroniseringstrinn (256) for synkronisering med et klokkesigna! som -.er tilordnet radiorammene (350). Datapakkene. .kan¿være--tidsmultipleksbehandlet-før----------------------- tilpasningen til radiorammene. Datapakkene kan ha en fremre del og en rammestartavgrenser, og overføringen av dem via radio- rammene (350) kan innebære fjerning av disse elementer i pakken og i forbindelse med formateringen, innlegging av et synkroniserings- og lengdefelt.
