Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an injection system for joint sealing in concrete and the like. constructions. In particular, but not exclusively, the invention is used for joint sealing at the transition (joint) between a foundation wall sole and the foundation wall outer walls.
It is common knowledge that cracks, fissures etc. can occur. in concrete structures, especially in connection with joints between concrete casts which are made at different times. These cracks, cracks etc. occurs, for example, as a result of a lack of homogeneity or other lack of consistency in the concrete or as a result of the concrete's curing shrinkage, and it can lead to water penetration.
Slike injeksjonsslanger er omtalt eksempelvis i US patent 4.499.925, EPO publ. 0.125.696, norsk patent 163194 og norsk patentsøknad 911086. In order to repair such crack and tear damage in the concrete and to achieve sealing of the concrete against water penetration, it has previously been proposed to inject a sealing material at points, particularly in the form of a polymer. Other injection materials used for this purpose are polyurethanes, epoxies, acrylic gels and micro-cements. There are also several proposals for injection hoses which are cast into the concrete to allow subsequent injection of sealing material, or which are placed along a joint surface on an already cast part, e.g. a foundation sole, before the following lot, e.g. a foundation-external wall, is cast. Such injection hoses are described, for example, in US patent 4,499,925, EPO publ. 0.125.696, Norwegian patent 163194 and Norwegian patent application 911086.
Det særegne ved injeksjonssystemet i henhold til oppfinnelsen består i at det omfatter The present invention concerns an injection system for joint sealing in concrete constructions, with a joint surface which is created by stepwise casting and which extends between an outer or upper side (water pressure side) and an inner or lower side, to prevent the penetration of moisture from the water pressure side, whereby the installation becomes significantly easier and safer and the effect is greatly improved. The distinctive feature of the injection system according to the invention is that it includes
a) et i og for seg kjent profil med langsgående gjennomgående injeksjonskanal med åpning ut mot den side av profilet som a) a profile known in and of itself with a longitudinal continuous injection channel with an opening towards the side of the profile which
skal ligge mot fugeflaten , i kombinasjon med must lie against the joint surface, in combination with
b) et i og for seg kjent svellende material festet til profilet på den side av dette som skal vende mot vanntrykksiden av betongkonstruksjonen, og at c) det svellende material er anordnet langs hele lengden av profilet og rundt den ene endeflate av dette. b) a known in itself swelling material attached to the profile on the side of it which is to face the water pressure side of the concrete structure, and that c) the swelling material is arranged along the entire length of the profile and around one end surface thereof.
Further features of the invention will appear from the subsequent patent claims.
The invention shall be described in more detail with reference to the attached drawing. Figs. 1, 2 and 3 show a cross-section through three alternative unwitting forms for a profile for use in an injection system according to the present invention. Fig. 4 schematically shows a method of laying profile units in an injection system in accordance with the invention.
According to the invention, an injection system for joint sealing in concrete structures comprises an elongated profile 1 with a longitudinal channel 3 with opening 4, 5 towards the underside of the profile, which must face a joint surface 6 in the concrete structure. Along this underside, the profile 1 is designed with a lip or flange 7 along one side edge, arranged to lie against the joint surface 6 and against the inward-facing side of the concrete structure. On the side of the profile 1 which should face outwards in relation to the concrete structure, i.e. to its "water pressure side", a swelling material in the form of "sausages" 8 (fig. 1) or strips 9 (fig. 2, 3 ). Conveniently, the profile 1 is designed with a longitudinal lip or flange 10 which covers at least some of the upper side of the swelling material 8, 9. The swelling material 8, 9 is attached to the profile 1 by means of adhesive and/or by means of barbs 11 (fig. 2) or by being held behind flanges etc. 12 (fig. 1) . As can be seen from fig. 4, the swelling material 8, 9 is folded around one end of the profile. The swelling material 8, 9 will, when moisture enters, swell to become almost 100% impermeable to moisture.
By means of inlet and outlet hoses 13 (fig. 4), a sealing material is supplied to the channel 3, e.g. in the form of a polymer, which penetrates through the slit 4 and the extended part 5 and out to cracks and cracks in the concrete. In order to prevent concrete material during the subsequent casting from penetrating into the extended part 5 and further into the slot 4 and thereby preventing the injection material from penetrating to the cracks and cracks, a "sausage" is appropriately arranged (not shown) of a continuous porous material in the extended part 5. This sausage will, together with the lip or flange 7, cause the entire device in accordance with the invention to have a continuous complete contact with the joint surface, unimpeded by any unevenness therein. It is within the framework of the invention to design the profile 1 with the slot-shaped opening 4 directly from the channel 3 and out towards the underside of the profile, without leaving room for any porous sausage that prevents the penetration of molding compound into the slot 4 and the channel 3.
The profile 1 with attached swelling material 8, 9 and fitted inlet and outlet hoses 13 is supplied and fitted appropriately as units, for example with lengths of 3 or 6 metres, and is fitted in such a way that the swelling material 8, 9 forms a continuous barrier. This is achieved by placing the individual units slightly offset at their mutually adjacent ends, e.g. as indicated in fig. 4, whereby the swelling material 8, 9 on one unit lies close to the swelling material on an adjacent unit. Fig. 4 shows just one of many possible laying patterns which are assumed not to need further description here.
