Description
Oppfinnelsen angår en fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av sementslurry med lav egenvekt til bruk ved sementering av olje- og gassbrønner.
Ved sementering av olje- eller gassbrønner blir sementslurryen pumpet ned gjennom forskalingsrøret i brønnen og vil etter hvert fylle opp tomrommet mellom dette og brønn-veggen. Dette er en meget viktig prosess som har stor innflytelse på brønnens leve- og produksjonstid. Egenvekten av sementslurryen er av stor betydning for sementeringen og for de resultater som kan oppnås. Ved boring av brønner gjennom høytrykkssoner benyttes f. eks. sementslurry med høy egenvekt for å kunne motstå ukontrollert utblåsning under sementeringsarbeidet. Ved boring av brønner gjennom lavtrykkssoner og soner hvor boreslam har lett for å trenge inn, må det imidlertid brukes sementslurry med lav egenvekt, og oppfinnelsen tar nettopp sikte på å fremstille en sementslurry med lav egenvekt som er egnet for sementering i forbindelse med olje- og gassbrønner.
Det er kjent at egenvekten på sementslurry kan reduseres ved at man øker vannmengden og at det for å "oppta" den økende vannmengde tilsettes materialer som bentonitt, pozzolan, diatomjord, perlitt, vannglass og/eller gilsonitt. Av disse er bentonitt i dag mest bruk i sementslurryer, og det anvendes vanligvis konsentrasjoner som utgjør 1 - 12% av sementvekten. Det kan nevnes at man ved 12% av en innblanding av bentonitt oppnår en slurry-egenvekt på 12,6 Ibs/gallon tilsvarende 1,5 kg/dm"^, men ved bruk av vannglass, pozzolan og diatomjord vil det relativt høye silicainnholdet i disse stoffer til en viss grad binde det kalsiumhydroksyd som dannes under herdningen og overføre dette i mer tungløselige og bestandige forbindelser. Ved bruk av disse stoffer oppnås således en relativ høyere styrke etter herdning enn det som oppnås ved bruk av bentonitt.
Ett annet kjent tilsatsmiddel er det finfordelte amorfe SiC^-støv som kan utfelles av røken fra metallurgiske smelteovner som produserer silisium-metall eller ferrosilisium, men dette støv er hittil ikke anvendt i forbindelse med sementslurryer for sementering av olje-
og gassbrønner.
Ved fremgangsmåten ifølge oppfinnelsen anvendes som utgangspunkt en API (American Petroleum Institute) godkjent oljebrønnsement som angitt i API specification 10 A "API-specification for oil-well cements and cement additives" 9. edition og f. eks. av sammensetning spesifisert i ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) specification C 150. Denne sement tilsettes fra 1-50 vektprosent silicastøv som er utfelt fra røken fra smelteovner som produserer silisium-metall eller ferrosilisium. Dette støv er meget reaktivt og består vesentlig av SiC>2 med meget små mengder foru-rensninger. Silicastøvet kan enten tørrblandes inn i sementen hvorpå det tilsettes tilstrekkelig mengder vann for å oppnå en slurry med en egenvekt på 10 - 16 Ibs/gallon tilsvarende 1,19 - 1,91 kg/dm<3>. Vannmengden kan eventuelt reduseres ved tilsetning av dispergeringsmidler som i og for seg er kjent. Videre kan andre kjent betongtilsetninger benyttes etter behov. Man kan også eventuelt først lage en slurry av silica-støvet og eventuelt dispergeringsmidler og levere dette som slurry til forbruksstedet hvor den blandes direkte med oljebrønnsementen. Blandingsforholdene og egen-vektene blir den samme som når silica-støvet tørrblandes med sementen.
Det er med blandingsforhold silicastov/sement på 33:67
oppnådd egenvekter på 11,5 - 15.5 Ibs/gallon tilsvarende 1,37 - 1,85 kg/dm<3>og t r y k k s t y r l< e på 3890 PSI tilsvarende 273 kg/cm 7med dispergeringsmiddel og 440 PSJ tilsvarende 30,93 kg/cm uten dispergeringsmiddel. De angitte
trykkstyrker er oppnådd etter minst 28 dogns herding ved 2 0 0 C . l/ed ovennevnte blandingsforhold kan en vannmengde på 92,7 vektprosent av tørrblandingen g.i en slurryegen-vekt på 12,6 Ibs/gallon tilsvarende 1,5 kg/dm^. Onskes høyere egenvekt må et dispergeringsmiddel tilsettes.
Den beskrevne slurry gir ved herdning en tett, pore-fattig betong med høy trykkstyrke. Som kjent er det meget viktig at betong for of fshore-v i rksomhet er tett for å hindre at olje og gass fra én formasjon trenger gjennom betongen og inn i en annen formasjon.
Claims (3)
1. Fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av sementslurry med lav egenvekt for sementering av olje- og gassbrønner, karakterisert ved at API oljebrønnsement blandes med silicastøv som er utfelt fra røken fra elektrometallurgiske smelteovner som produserer silisium-metall eller ferrosilisium, vann og eventuelt dispergeringsmidler, idet støvet tilsettes i en mengde av 1 - 50 % av den totale mengde tørrstoff.
2. Fremgangsmåte som i krav 1, k a r a k t e r i - isert ved at silicastøvet innblandes i sementen mens begge komponenter er i tørr tilstand hvorpå det tilsettes tilstrekkelig mengde vann for å oppnå den ønskede egenvekt på slurryen.
3. Fremgangsmåte som i krav 1, karakterisert ved at silicastøvet først blandes med vann og eventuelt dispergeringsmidler hvorpå den fremkomne slurry blandes med o1jebrønnsement .
