Den indre ende fastlåses under opphalingen overst i sitt spor ved hensiktsmessige midler. På samme måte gås det frem med dekkene d^, d^, d^ og d^. inntil samtlige dekk er rigget til, slik som vist til hoyre i fig. 1. Fig. 4 viser skjematisk hvorledes sporene kan være anordnet for mellomdekkenes foringsmidler. Fig. 5 viser helt skjematisk hvorledes låseorganene for fast-holding av de resp. dekk i onskede hoyder kan være anordnet. Dekkene er i det viste eksempel forsynt med tapper som glir i spor eller foringer på begge sider av den indre kant som stoter til skipssiden. I forbindelse med sporet eller foringen er det anordnet en pal p som kan gripe inn under tappene t. Inngrepet kan skje automatisk ved ikke vist midler. Det vil i det hele tatt forstås at de organ som anvendes for å fastlåse mellomdekkenes indre kant i onsket hoydestilling i sporene eller foringene valgfritt kan modifiseres. Således kan sporene være tannet eller forsynt med en hullrekke for samvirke med knaster, paler, pinner eller lignende for fastlåsing av resp. mellomdekk i onsket hoyde.
