Description

Smøremiddel for kaldvalsing av metallblikk.
Som hjelpestoffer for tekniske og industrielle formål, for eksempel som smøremidler eller som glansningsmidler for metalliske overflater, anvendes vanligvis mineraloljer eller naturlige oljer. Ved kaldvalsning i metallindustrien danner de anvendte smøremidler et skillende glidesjikt mellom valsen og valsegodset,. hvorved deres direkte berøring forhindres og frik-sjonen forminskes. Disse oljer har ikke tilfredsstilt kravene. Først og fremst forårsaket disse efter kort tid forstyrrende harpiks-belegg, slik at en regelmessig, omhyggelig rengjøring var nød-vendig efter korte intervaller.
Ved fremstilling og anvendelse av metallfolier, særlig aluminiumfolier, er det tilrådelig å anvende hjelpemidler, ved hjelp av hvilke man oppnår en god skillevirkning og en beskytt-else av metalloverflatene, og god glans. Slike metallfolier kommer på'tale i stigende utstrekning som innpakningsmateriale, hvorved man også må ta hensyn til de gjeldende bestemmelser vedrørende næringsmiddelslovgivning.
Det er nu funnet at man får smøremidler som kan anvendes for kaldvalsing av metallblikk, når man fremstiller fett-syreglyceridblandinger ved forestering av blandinger av mettede, rettkjedede fettsyrer med 6 til H karbonatomer, fortrinnsvis 8 til 12 karbonatomer, med flerverdige alkoholer med minst 3 hydroksylgrupper, fortrinnsvis glycerol. Esterblandingene som anvendes i henhold til oppfinnelsen, er langt bedre enn de natur-oljer som tidligere ble anvendt for de nevnte formål, da de ennu er flytende ved 0°C og ikke viser noen harpiksdannelse.
De fettsyrer som ligger til grunn for esterblandingene, kan foreligge i vilkårlige mengdeforhold i form av sine estere i esterblandingene. Esterblandingene kan anvendes alene eller sammen med andre oljer»forutsatt at tilsetning av disse ikke medfører noen ulemper.
Eksempel
Ved kaldvalseprosessen ved valsing av jernblikk av forskjellig tykkelse blir mineraloljeemulsjoner tilblandet 15 $ av den flytende triglyceridblanding, som har de følgende karakteristiske tall og fettsyresammensetning:
Ved anvendelse av denne blanding er det efter én gangs omløp ikke.nødvendig å rengjøre ledningsnettet. Den undersøkte triglyceridblanding har sammenlignet med palmeolje,følgende karakteristiske tall:
Mens palmeoljen må fornyes efter ett omløp, kan tri-glyceridblandingen i henhold til oppfinnelsen anvendes 2 til 3 ganger»

  1. Anvendelse av esterblandinger av rettkjedede, mettede fettsyrer med 6 til H, fortrinnsvis 8 til 12, karbonatomer med flerverdige alkoholer med minst 3 hydroksylgrupper, fortrinnsvis glycerol, i mineraloljeemulsjoner som smøremiddel for kaldvalsing av metallblikk»
