A latticed bottom wall (7) of a mobile container is blocked to prevent it from being accidentally hinged in an upward direction by releasably wedging it under filamentous protrusions (13) attached to vertical wires (14) of one of the lattice-made upright wall (3) of the container. The invention relates to a goods container comprising: a bottom wall and a second wall, which extends upwardly from an edge zone of the bottom wall, in which edge zone the bottom wall is pivotally mounted, so that it is pivotable between a substantially horizontal, lowered position in which it extends transversely to the second wall and an upright position, in which it extends in upward direction next to the second wall.

Goods holders of a metal grating are known, for example, from EP 0 183 889 and FR 71 01172, in which the holder is foldable by folding an underside around an edge thereof, which edge is hingedly connected to one or two horizontal rods along the underside of the respective opposing side walls and then moving the two side walls inwardly toward each other. In the unfolded states of the containers, the opposite edge of the bottom wall rests on the opposite horizontal bar. In both prior art containers, the bottom wall can be freely pivoted upwardly from the lowered position. This uncontrolled freedom can be disadvantageous with any of the prior art containers, but in particular with the container according to FR 71 01172, wherein the bottom wall serves to keep the two horizontal bars separate to prevent unwanted folding of the container to prevent. A special chance of this event occurs if the holder according to FR 71 01172 is to be handled by means of a fork lifting device, namely by inserting the fork into the opening between the bottom wall and the floor and then raising the fork. Such undesirable upward hinging of the bottom wall and transverse inward folding of the container may be particularly disadvantageous in automatic handling machines equipped with such fork lifters.

The goods holder according to the invention is characterized in that holding means are arranged in a path of hinges from the bottom wall from the lowered position to the upright position to grip another edge zone of the bottom wall for blocking the hinging of the bottom wall from the lowered position, wherein the bottom wall and the retaining means are movable relative to each other in order to bring the bottom wall and the retaining means into a mutual position, wherein the retaining means do not block the hinge of the bottom wall from the lowered position to the upright position.

The invention makes it possible to prevent undesired hinging in the upward direction of the bottom wall from its lowered position.

The invention is elucidated on the basis of the drawing, in which:

Fig. 1 shows a goods container, which comprises a substantially V-shaped base element 1, which extends in a horizontal plane and is connected at its ends by respective vertical hinge parts to respective horizontal lower elements 2 and 3 of vertical side walls 4 and 3 of the container. Elements 2 and 3 are provided with ground swivel rollers 6 at their respective ends. As shown in Fig. 1, elements 1-3 rest on a rectangular bottom wall 7, which, like walls 4 and 3, is made of wire lattice. At one of the edge zones, wires in the bottom wall 7 terminate as hooks 8 with respective interrupted ends 9, which, although not shown in Figures 3 and 6, are bent around the bottom horizontal wire 10 of the wall 4 as substantially closed loops for hingedly connecting the wall 7 to the wall 4. At the opposite edge zone of the wall 7, the wires are bent such that they form hooks 11, which are not interrupted, but which, on the other hand, when the wall 7 is arranged in the container retain the shape shown in FIG. 3, in which they are U-shaped in side view, while FIG. 5 shows that they have an inverted U-shape in rear view.

In the state of the container shown in Figs. 1 and 3, the hooks 11 grip the lower horizontal wire 12 of the wall 5 and thus keep the mobile container in its ready-to-use state. However, if the container is to be handled by a fork lifting device, regardless of whether goods are in the container or not, and with the container in the condition shown in Fig. 1, there is a possibility that the wall 7 pivots in an upward direction, the hooks 11 of the wire 12 being lifted and the walls 4 and 5 possibly pivoting inwardly around said vertical pivot points. In order to prevent this from happening, but at the same time allow the mobile container to be easily collapsed to be nested, protruding wire members 13 are attached to respective vertical wires 14 of the wall 5 at locations immediately above the wire 12, and the wall 7 is displaceable in both horizontal directions parallel to the walls 4 and 5 to a limited extent equal to the horizontal center distance of the vertical wires from the wall 5 minus the total dimensions of each hook 11 along the wire 12, this limited displacement is slightly greater than the maximum size along the horizontal wire 12 of each protrusion 13 from its vertical wire 14.

Thus, the protrusions 13 are in the relative position of each protrusion 13 and the hook 11 immediately below it in the state shown in Figure 3 in the path of hinges of the bottom wall 7 from its lowered position shown in Figure 3. 1 and 3 to the upright position shown in Fig. 2, and these projections thus grip the adjacent edge zone of the wall 7 to block hinges of the wall 7 from its lowered position, so as to wall 7 in this position to hold on. The container is handled by the fork lift in the relative position of the protrusions 13 and the hooks 11 shown in Fig. 6. The bottom surface of each protrusion 13 is advantageously angled slightly towards the vertical wire 14 thereof, so that the associated hook 11 is wedged beneath it during normal use to prevent the hooks 11 and consequently the wall 7 from being shaken away from under the protrusions 13 during such use. When it is desired to fold the container, the wall 7 is shifted horizontally by hand relative to the projections 13 to move the hooks 11 below the projections 13, whereby the wall 7 can be pivoted upwardly around the horizontal wire 10 from the lowered position shown in Fig. 1 to the upright position shown in Fig. 2.

A detachable strap 13 is provided to prevent the walls 4 and 3 from being forced too far outwardly by goods stored in the container.

Goods container, comprising: a bottom wall and a second wall, which extends upwardly from an edge zone of the bottom wall, in which edge zone the bottom wall is pivotally mounted, so that it is pivotable between a substantially horizontal, lowered position, in which it extends transversely to the second wall and an upright position, in which it extends in upward direction next to the second wall, characterized in that retaining means (13) are arranged in a path of hinges of the bottom wall (7) of the lowered position to the upright position to grip another edge region of the bottom wall (7) to block the hinge of the bottom wall (7) from the lowered position, the bottom wall (7) and the retaining means (13) are movable from one another to bring the bottom wall (7) and the retaining means (13) into a mutual position, wherein the retaining means (13) pivot the bottom wall (7) do not block from the lowered position to the upright position. Goods container according to claim 1, characterized in that the bottom wall (7) is movable relative to the second wall (4) and the holding means (13) around the bottom wall (7) and the holding means (13) in the mutual position wherein the retaining means (13) do not block the hinge of the bottom wall (7) from the lowered position to the upright position. Goods container according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the holding means (13) are arranged on a third wall (5) which is arranged opposite the second wall (4). Goods container according to claims 2 and 3, characterized in that the holding means (13) protrude substantially horizontally along the third wall (5) and the bottom wall (7) is movable to a limited extent substantially horizontally along the third wall (5). Goods container according to claim 4, characterized in that the walls (4, 5, 7) are in the form of lattices and substantially horizontal elements of the bottom wall (7) slide on substantially horizontal elements (10, 12) of the second and third walls (4, 5) and are limited in their substantially horizontal displacement by substantially vertical elements (14) of the third wall (5), to which substantially vertical elements (14) the retaining means (13 ) are confirmed. Goods container according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that the bottom wall (7) is fixed under the retaining means (13) in a relative position, in which the retaining means (13) pivot from the bottom wall (7) from the block its lowered position. Goods container according to claims 4 and 6, or 3 and 6, characterized in that the holding means (13) on the underside thereof comprise surfaces which are slightly inclined relative to the horizontal plane for wedging the bottom wall (7) underneath. Goods container according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that the holding means (13) comprise thread-like projections (13).
