De behandeling van seborrhoea in de dermatologie laat in vele opzichten nog te wensen over. Aan de tot nog toe toe-5 gepaste middelen kleven allerlei therapeutische en/of toxicologische nadelen. Hierin wordt volgens de uitvinding voorzien met een preparaat bestaande uit een vetzuur met gemiddelde ketenlengte, bij voorkeur de-caanzuur (Cjq) en/of dodecaanzuur (C^)> in het bijzonder in alcoholische of waterig-alcoholische oplossing. De concentratie vetzuur of vetzuren 10 in de oplossing ligt binnen zeer ruime grenzen. Ook de aard van het alcoholische oplosmiddel is niet aan enige beperking onderhevig, evenmin als de verhouding water en alcohol van de waterig-alcoholische oplosmiddelen.The treatment of seborrhea in dermatology leaves much to be desired in many respects.
