Abstract

The system re-disperses material which has separated in a tank into a cohesive solid upper layer and an aqueous one underneath, by stirring them together. The upper layer is cut through, and the fragments formed are subjected to a beating action. Air can be injected at the same time. A multi-blade screw can be mounted on the end of a shaft enclosed in a protective sheath the blades having each a convex cutting edge (1), a central portion (2) and an upright beater portion with a recess (5) near the axis of rotation. The central portion of the blade can be flat, and in a plane perpendicular to the axis.
