Abstract

The pile consists of a tube driven into the ground and enclosed in a hardened mass of filler material. An annular shoe is fitted to the bottom of the shoe, so that on driving the pile a chamber is formed for the material, which is delivered in the liquid state. The shoe (212) also protrudes radially on the inside of the tube (211), thus forming a further annular chamber (112) on the inside between the tube and the earth (11'), which is likewise filled with the hardening material. The latter can be delivered through pipes (213, 214) extending to points close to the shoe inside and outside the tube, or to one side only, holes being provided in the tube near the shoe through which it flows to the other side.
