Abstract

Clamping device is particularly for securing a double-glazing frame to a window, and consists of a clamping body of resilient material e.g. rubber (4). This is fitted under prestress in the profiled portion of the window frame. The body can have a portion (5) snapping into engagement with a groove in the frame (1), also a curved portion (7) bearing against the double-glazing frame (8). A piece of e.g. foam rubber (9) can be fitted between the latter and the window frame. The window frame can be of aluminium, with a groove (3) narrowed at the mouth by two protruding portions (3a, 3b). These firmly grip the portion of the body snapping into the groove, at the same time causing the curved portion to be pressed against the double-glazing frame.
