Abstract

A zero connection system for an electronic measuring system especially one used in deriving signals from various forms of transducers, in which a correction signal is derived in a reference measurement and stored in a memory for subsequent application. The generator for the error signal consists of a comparator (1) with one input (9) connected to an output of the measuring system and the other (13) connected to a reference signal source: the output is connected through a switch (17) to the memory which is formed by a storage capacitor (19) connected to the gate of a field effect transistor (21)in series with a resistance (23) to form a potential divider.. The transducer (3) feeds a differential amplifier (5) which is also fed with a correction signal from the potential divider through the line (25). The arrangement is fully electronic, as compared with similar known systems which require adjustment of mechanical controls, such as potentiometers.
