Abstract

Control valves (e.g. for sprayers, in manually transportable agricultural or horticultural spraying apparatus), consists of a body with a valve seat with a handle attached to the body to support a spray lance. A stem is introduced through a bearing of, e.g. polytetrafluoroethylene and biased by a spring. A thumb control lever extends rearwardly of the stem and is pivoted to the rear end. A coupling is associated with the lever, the outer end of the stem and the body to obtain retraction of the valve against the spring bias.
