Abstract

Liquid flows into the filter through a valve seat. The filter is pref. mounted at an angle below the pipe and supported by it. The filter is preferably a cylindrical gause concentric with the filter body and the valve stem. Material filtered out falls to the bottom of the filter body and can be removed via a plug in its end plate or by removing the endplate after closing the valve. The filter body contains a support for the valve stem so that there is no flow when the end plate is taken off.
