Abstract

Packing for soft foodstuffs, more especially soft margarine and products of similar consistency, which exhibit cold flow under their own weight at 23 degrees C and through which a knife will pass under its own weight at the usual refrigerator storage temperature, e.g. 7 degrees C, comprising a relatively rigid thin-walled container, with a profiled surface opposite the open bottom, and a thin flexible thermoplastic lining adapted to the relief, which will serve to form a sharply defined three-dimensional profile as a relief on the margarine and will maintain adhesion with the container and contents without damage to the relief, but can act as a release agent so that it can be stripped off both from the container and the margarine, so as to leave the integrity of the profile of the latter undisturbed.
