Abstract

Yarns are entangled by air flows in a device which comprises a body with a straight yarn channel from the inlet on one surface to the yarn exit on the opposite surface. A pair of channels aims the flow across the channel and intersect. on or near the opposite side of the channel. The two channels are mainly in line with a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal centreline of the yarn channel and nearer to the inlet than to the exit. A third air flow channel directs a flow tangentially in the yarn channel in one line with a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal centre line of the yarn channel. This third flow channel is nearer the yarn exit than to the inlet.
