A method according to claim 1, wherein bundles of covers are supplied via a interrupted working conveyor belt (100) to a working location where bunches of flowers (120) are introduced into tear-off covers.

The method of claim 1 or 2, wherein bunches of flowers (120) with their stems (121) are presented toward the opening of the tear-off sleeves (104).

A method according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein there is an endless transport device (131) for supplying individual bunches of flowers (120).

The method of any one of the preceding claims, wherein there is an endless conveying device (132) for discharging individual bunches of flowers (120).

A method according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the opening of a tear-off cover (104) takes place by means of a movable arm provided with a vacuum cup.

The method of claim 6, wherein vacuum dropping in the vacuum cup is used as a trigger for applying a next sachet of plant food (141) to a next tearable cover (104).

A method according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein at a work location the base (102) of a bundle of tear-off covers (104) is retained by means of a device, by means of a sensor the tearing-off of the tear-off cover (104) is detected for triggering applying a sachet of plant food (141) to a subsequent tearable cover (104).

An assembly (190) for inserting a bunch of flowers (120) into a sleeve (104) for providing a packaged bunch of flowers (120) which is provided with at least 1 sachet of plant food (141), characterized in that that the assembly (190) further comprises - a bearing surface (101) for placing a bundle of sleeves (101) thereon which comprises tear-off sleeves (104); - means for applying at least 1 sachet of plant food (141) to a tear-off cover (104) of the bundle of sleeves (101); - a movable arm provided with a vacuum cup for opening a tear-off cover (104); and - a control unit which ensures that first the sachet of plant food (141) is applied and only then the tear-off cover (104) is opened.

An assembly (190) according to claim 9, wherein the bearing surface (101) comprises an interrupted working conveyor belt (100) for supplying a bundle of sleeves (101).

An assembly (190) according to any of claims 9 or 10, wherein the assembly (190) comprises an endless conveying device (131) for supplying individual bunches of flowers.

The assembly (190) of any one of claims 9 to 11, wherein the assembly (190) comprises an endless conveying device (132) for discharging individual bunches of flowers (120).

Assembly (190) according to one of claims 9 to 12, wherein the assembly - has a means (112) for holding the bundle of sleeves (101) at the base (102) of a bundle of sleeves (101), and - a sensor (203) for detecting the tearing-off of the tear-off cover (104) for triggering the application of a sachet of plant food (141) to a subsequent tear-off cover (104).
