A device for advertising purposes comprising a mast and a frame placed thereon, a side remote from the mast intended for carrying an advertising cloth, characterized in that the frame is provided with two spaced apart grooves for form-fitting receiving two spaced apart thickenings arranged near or on at least two opposite side edges of the advertising cloth. 10

Advertising device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the grooves run from top to bottom on the side of the frame remote from the mast.

3. Reelame device as claimed in claim 1 or 2, wherein tensioning means for tensioning the cloth are provided on the side of the frame facing the mast.

Advertising device according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the or each groove is located in a profile beam.

5. Advertising device as claimed in claim 4, wherein the profile beam is movable transversely of its longitudinal direction with respect to the frame.

Advertising device as claimed in claim 5, wherein the tensioning means comprise a displacement member engaging on the profile beam 30.

7. Advertising device as claimed in claim 6, wherein the displacing member comprises an operable screw spindle and an engaging element cooperating with it for engaging on the profile beam. 1018465

9. Method for mounting an advertising cloth on a device for advertising purposes, which device comprises a mast and a frame placed thereon, a side remote from the mast being intended for carrying the advertising cloth, characterized in that the advertising cloth with near or thickenings provided on two side edges thereof are threaded from one side to the other side of the frame in two spaced apart grooves.

10. Method as claimed in claim 9, wherein the advertising cloth is threaded into the grooves from top to bottom with respect to the frame.

11. Method as claimed in claim 10, wherein the cloth is tensioned on at least one side edge threaded into the groove 20.

The method of claim 11, wherein prior to tensioning, the lower side edge of the advertising cloth is secured to the frame. 25

A method according to any of claims 9-12, wherein the upper side edge of the advertising screen is pulled up and fixed to the frame prior to tensioning. I0184 S5i
