Abstract

A ferritic stainless steel having high corrosion resistance of welded part is provided. The ferritic stainless steel has a composition comprising of, on a mass percent basis, C: 0.003% or more and 0.014% or less, N: 0.005% or more and 0.016% or less, C% + N%: 0.023% or less, Si: 0.01% or more and 0.90% or less, Mn: 0.01% or more and 0.50% or less, P: 0.020% or more and 0.040% or less, S: 0.008% or less, Al: 0.001% or more and 0.090% or less, Cr: 14.5% or more and 23.0% or less, Ni: 0.10% or more and 0.60% or less, and V: 0.010% or more and 0.040% or less, at least one of Ti and Nb under the following condition X or Y, and the remainder being Fe and incidental impurities; X: Ti: 0.15% or more and 0.34% or less, Ti+ Nb: 0.70% or less, and V/(Ti + 0.5 x Nb): 0.05 to 0.20, Y: Nb: 0.35% or more and 0.60% or less, Ti+ Nb: 0.70% or less, and V/(Ti + 0.5 x Nb): 0.05 to 0.20.
