Abstract
THE PURPOSE OF THE PRESENT INVENTION IS TO PROVIDE A METHOD FOR TREATING AN ACIDIC GAS ACCORDING TO A NOVEL CONTROL SCHEME FOR PERFORMING A STABLE ACIDIC GAS TREATMENT THAT RARELY CAUSES THE ACIDIC GAS CONCENTRATION AT THE OUTLET TO PEAK AND FOR REDUCING THE EXCESSIVE ADDITION OF ALKALI AGENTS IN A FEEDBACK FORMAT THAT DOES NOT REQUIRE THE INTRODUCTION OF A NEW, EXPENSIVE ACIDIC-GAS MEASUREMENT DEVICE. THIS METHOD FOR TREATING AN ACIDIC GAS INVOLVES ADDING AN ALKALI AGENT TO A COMBUSTION EXHAUST QAS CONTAINING AN ACIDIC GAS AND FEEDBACK-CONTROLLING THE AMOUNT OF THE ALKALI AGENT TO BE ADDED ON THE BASIS OF A MEASUREMENT SIGNAL FROM AN ACIDIC GAS CONCENTRATION MEASUREMENT DEVICE WHICH MEASURES THE ACIDIC GAS CONCENTRATION AFTER DUST COLLECTION, THE METHOD INVOLVING AT LEAST: A STEP OF CALCULATING A BASAL ADDITION AMOUNT FOUND BY MULTIPLYING THE AVERAGE ADDITION AMOUNT SUITABLE FOR THE AVERAGE TIME (FOR EXAMPLE, 1 HOUR, AS DESCRIBED LATER) BY FACTOR OF 1 OR LESS (FOR EXAMPLE, 80%, AS DESCRIBED LATER); AND A STEP OF CALCULATING, THROUGH FEEDBACK COMPUTATION, AN OUTPUT VALUE FOR THE AMOUNT OF THE ALKALI AGENT TO BE ADDED ON THE BASIS OF THE CALCULATED BASAL ADDITION AMOUNT.
