Abstract

AN EVAPORATION INHIBITOR FOR SPRAY MIXTURES OF AGRICULTURAL CHEMICALS APPLIED BY THE LV METHOD IN THE FORM OF A WAX-CONTAINING AQUEOUS DISPERSION OR A SELF-EMULSIFYING SOLUTION IN ORGANIC SOLVENTS HAS THE FOLLOWING COMPOSITION:FROM 15 TO 50% BY WEIGHT OF A WAX OR WAX MIXTURE,FROM 4 TO 20% BY WEIGHT OF NONIONIC AND/OR ANIONIC EMULSIFIERS,FROM 19.5 TO 81% BY WEIGHT OF WATER AND/OR ORGANIC SOLVENTS FROM THE GROUP COMPRISING HYDROCARBONS, ESTERS AND KETONES HAVING BOILING POINTS OF FROM 70 TO 28?C,FROM 0 TO 5.5% BY WEIGHT OF OTHER AUXILIARIES,FROM 0 TO 5.0% BY WEIGHT OF AMINES OR ALKALI.IT MAY BE USED IN AN AMOUNT OF FROM 1 TO 15% BY WEIGHT, PREFERABLY 5 TO 10% BY WEIGHT AS AN ADDITIVE TO SPRAY MIXTURES CONTAINING AGRICULTURAL CHEMICALS ADJUSTED TO IN-USE CONCENTRATIONS.
