Abstract

La presente invencion es una composicion polimerica reticulable en humedad que comprende (a) un polimero olefinico con funcion silano, (b) un catalizador de condensacion de silanol acidico, y (c) un antioxidante, sin un grupo fenolico o arilo substituido con alquilo terciario, en donde la composicion polimerica no genera una cantidad elevada de gases combustibles o malolientes. Alternativamente, el antioxidante esta sustancialmente libre de sustituyentes vulnerables de desalquilarse en presencia del catalizador de condensacion silanol acido y en condiciones de procesamiento convencionales. La invencion tambien incluye metodos para preparar la composicion polimerica reticulable en humedad. Las composiciones polimerica reticulable en humedad pueden ser usadas como un revestimiento y ser aplicadas sobre un alambre o cable.
