Abstract

Se describe un metodo de preparar un articulo moldeado por medio de un proceso de decoracion en molde. El metodo incluye proporcionar un laminado (4) de una pluralidad de etiquetas termoplasticas soltables separadas (14) superpuestas sobre una pelicula de soporte (26). Se aplica una decoracion (86) en linea a la segunda superficie expuesta (68) de las etiquetas (14), formando por ello un laminado decorado (5). El laminado decorado (5) se envia e indexa a un molde (20) de tal manera que la primera superficie expuesta (77) de la pelicula de soporte (26) contacte al menos una porcion de la superficie interior del molde, y la segunda superficie decorada (68) de la etiqueta (14) mire al espacio interior del molde. Se inyecta material plastico (por ejemplo, material termoplastico) al molde contra la superficie decorada de la etiqueta, formando asi un articulo moldeado. La pelicula de soporte (26) se separa posteriormente del articulo moldeado. Al menos una porcion de la superficie del articulo moldeado preparado segun el metodo presente se define por la primera superficie (71) de al menos una etiqueta. Los articulos moldeados que se pueden preparar segun el metodo presente incluyen tarjetas de identificacion, tal como permisos de conducir y marcas para animales (por ejemplo, marcas para el ganado), y lentes, tal como lentes oftalmicas tintadas y lentes de proteccion solar.
