Abstract

Se describen las tecnicas para proveer una indicacion de la disponibilidad del servicio de ubicacion y la calidad de los servicios de ubicacion disponibles para una estacion movil. Se adquiere un parametro (LQoS) del servicio de calidad de ubicacion requerido. El parametro LQoS requerido puede ser un valor minimo de exactitud de posicion, un valor maximo de tiempo de respuesta, o un valor maximo de informacion de tiempo de posicion. Posteriormente, se determina un valor LQoS real. Si el valor LQoS real no satisface el parametro LQoS requerido, se provee posteriormente un indicador para indicar que los servicios de ubicacion no estan disponibles para la estacion movil. Por ejemplo, un indicador visual puede desplegarse indicando que los servicios de ubicacion no estan disponibles. Por otro lado, si se determina que los servicios de ubicacion estan disponibles, se calcula una medida de potencia relativa de la exactitud de posicion y se provee un indicador visual de la potencia de la exactitud de posicion.
