Abstract

La invencion se refiere a una composicion que comprende (a) un promotor funcional que comprende un polimero anionico soluble en agua que tiene un peso molecular de al menos 50.000 dalton y un valor de indice de carga de peso molecular al menos aproximadamente 10.000; (b) un componente de tensioactivo cationico; de manera que cuando la composicion trata un sustrato fibroso, junto con una agente de resistencia cationica, el sustrato fibroso tratado presenta (i) una proporcion de resistencia a traccion en humedo a resistencia a traccion en seco que varia de aproximadamente 1:5 a aproximadamente 1:2 y (ii) un aumento en la proporcion de la resistencia a traccion en humedo a resistencia a traccion en seco de al menos aproximadamente el 10%, comparado con cuando el sustrato fibroso se trata con el promotor funcional y sin un tensioactivo.
