Abstract

La presente invencion esta dirigida hacia un metodo para obtener de un higado entero o una reseccion del mismo una poblacion de celulas que comprendan celulas hepaticas funcionales, viables, enriquecidas en hepatocitos y celulas hepatociticas troncales/progenitoras, composiciones de las mismas y usos de las mismas; las composiciones incluyen una composicion de celulas hepaticas enriquecidas con hepatocitos y celulas hepatociticas troncales/progenitoras y una composicion de las mismas; los usos incluyen el tratamiento de enfermedades hepaticas, regeneracion del higado, pruebas de toxicidad y dispositivos de ayuda al higado.
