Abstract
La degradacion de membranas en celdas 10 de combustible debida a la deshidratacion por gases reactivos entrantes relativamente secos, se evita a traves del uso de un humidificador 56, 58 en las corrientes de reactivo entrante, 12, 14. Cuando menos uno de los humidificadores 56, 58 se forma en una pila 66 que tiene pasajes 68, 70 de flujo alternos con el primero recibiendo gases reactivos e incluyendo aletas 102 en el mismo, y el ultimo recibiendo refrigerante caliente de la celda 10 de combustible. Las aletas 102 en los espacios 68 de flujo se proporcionan con un revestimiento hidrofilico para fomentar la evaporacion en sentido de pelicula del agua introducida a traves de una boquilla 82. El humidificador ocasiona que el gas reactivo para alcanzar un punto de rocio deseado antes de que se proporcione a las membranas de la celda 10 de combustible.
