Abstract

Una tela no tejida hidroenmaranada que presenta capacidad de extension y recuperacion en la direccion transversal que comprende una malla no tejida de fibras con longitud de segmento de 0.8 a 3.0 deniers aproximadamente que tiene un peso base de 34 g/m2 a 135.6 g/m2 (1.0 a 4 . 0 onzas por yarda cuadrada) aproximadamente. Una composicion de aglutinante polimerico que se aplica en forma sustancialmente uniforme a la malla no tejida imparte la elasticidad deseada a la malla, y la tela presenta por lo menos 50% aproximadamente de capacidad de extension en una direccion transversal de la misma, y por lo menos 90% aproximadamente de recuperacion en una direccion transversal. La malla no tejida puede comprender fibras sinteticas, fibras naturales y combinaciones de las mismas, asi como filamentos continuos. La configuracion del hidroenmaranado de la malla actua para enmaranar las fibras para proveer a la tela las caracteristicas de desempeno deseadas. Se describe un metodo para elaborar la tela no tejida. La tela no tejida es particularmente apropiada para ser utilizada en un ensamble de almohadilla de colchon, como se describe tambien en la presente invencion.
