Abstract

La invencion describe un metodo para determinar el volumen de celulas de sangre roja sencillas u otras particulas que estan suspendidas en liquidos. La muestra se dispone en una cubeta optica apropiada para analisis microscopico. Se anade un tinte fluorescente que no se fuga hacia las celulas, y que es capaz de absorber luz de excitacion y emitir luz de fluorescencia a longitudes de onda que son solamente absorbidas de manera debil por las celulas. El volumen de celula se determina utilizando valores de intensidad de fluorescencia medidos (I)en una primera area que comprende una sola celula. (II) una segunda area cerca de esta celula y (III) en la segunda area despues de cambiar el espesor de cubeta en una cantidad conocida.
