Abstract
La presente invencion provee un procedimiento y un aparato para el tratamiento termofilico, aerobico y autotermico de materiales de desecho de concentracion alta y temperatura elevada. El material de desecho se inyecta en el recipiente del reactor (12), el cual contiene organismos termofilicos, para formar un volumen de liquido total en el recipiente de reaccion (12). Tambien se inyecta en el recipiente de reaccion (12) un gas que contiene oxigeno para el tratamiento del material de desecho. Se monitorean el potencial de oxidacion/reduccion y la temperatura del liquido total del reactor y se ajusta por lo menos uno de los parametros seleccionados de velocidad de inyeccion del gas oxigenado, eficiencia de transferencia de oxigeno del gas oxigenado y el volumen del liquido total en el reactor (12) en respuesta al potencial de oxidacion/reduccion y a la temperatura del liquido total del reactor para mantener la temperatura del liquido total del reactor dentro de un intervalo predeterminado.
