Abstract
Un proceso para convertir gas natural a un liquido incluye calentar el gas a un intervalo seleccionado de temperatura para convertir una fraccion del flujo de gas a hidrocarburos reactivos, principalmente acetileno, y hacer reaccionar metano y los hidrocarburos reactivos en presencia de un catalizador acido para producir un liquido, predominantemente metano. El hidrogeno resultante de las reacciones es utilizado para calentar el gas natural entrante, ya sea con un horno de hidrogeno o por energia electrica generada a partir del hidrogeno. Se requiere poco o ningun uso de metano para suministrar energia al proceso.
