Abstract
Uniones u otras discontinuidades en tuberias de gas en funcionamiento se sellan mediante el rociado de la union o discontinuidad con un material de revestimiento a traves de un dispositivo de revestimiento resistente a explosiones (10) capaz de atravesar segmentos largos de tuberia (14). El dispositivo de revestimiento es insertado en la tuberia y emplea una camara resistente a las explosiones (44) para localizar uniones o bien otras discontinuidades en la tuberia. El material de revestimiento preferido es un poliuretano elastomerico (48) de tipo epoxi que cura rapidamente en presencia de un flujo de gas bajo presion. Varias uniones o discontinuidades, que abarcan decenas de metros de tuberia pueden ser recubiertas a partir de una sola excavacion.
