Abstract

Se describe un procedimiento para preparar derivados de celulosa, en el cual la celulosa se impregna con una solucion alcalina, después, a eleccion, se extrae a presion la celulosa impregnada y posteriormente la celulosa se somete a una reaccion de sustitucion o adicion, obteniéndose un derivado de celulosa con un grado de sustitucion DS; la celulosa utilizada es una celulosa activada con amoníaco; la relacion molar del álcali con respecto al AHG (unidad de anhidroglucosa) en la celulosa al comienzo de la reaccion de sustitucion o adicion no excede del doble del DS pretendido; no se encuentra ningun excedente de álcali que no reaccione convirtiéndose en celulosa alcalina, sino solamente se adhiere a la celulosa como asociado suelto, que es necesario para el esponjamiento de la celulosa; el consumo de reactivos en la reaccion de sustitucion y adicion es inferior; se forman pocos subproductos.
