Abstract

La presente invencion provee un polinucleotido (igif-2) que identifica y codifica un factor-2 que induce el iterferon gama novedoso (IGIF-2) el cual fue expresado en adenoide, cerebro, riñon, hígado, pulmon, piel, sinovia y linfocitos T. La presente invencion también provee moléculas de contrasentido. La invencion además provee vectores de expresion tratados genéticamente y células huésped para la produccion de IGIF-2; anticuerpos; antagonistas e inhibidores; y composiciones farmacéuticas y métodos de tratamiento basados en el polipéptido, sus anticuerpos, antagonistas e inhibidores. La invencion provee específicamente el uso del polipéptido como terapéutica para individuos inmunocomprometidos como un control positivo en el análisis de diagnostico para la deteccion de expresion de IGIF-2 aberrante o actividad alterada de leucocitos o linfocitos.
