Abstract

En el procedimiento para la síntesis electroquímica directa de fosgeno en fase gaseosa se utiliza una célula con una membrana conductora de protones. Al ánodo de la célula electroquímica se alimentan como eductos HC1 gaseoso seco y CO gaseoso seco. Los radicales cloro que se originan en la oxidacion anodica del HC1 gaseoso reaccionan con el CO gaseoso directamente a fosgeno, mientras que los protones formados simultáneamente migran a través de la membrana hacia el cátodo y allí se reduce a hidrogeno o en presencia de oxígeno a agua.
