Abstract

La presente invencion se refiere a un proceso para tratar una célula animal humana o no humana para introducir un material genético heterologo en la célula y para expresar el material en la célula, que comprende (a) proporcionar un vector herpesviral recombinante el cual es un herpesvirus mutante atenuado o defectuoso en la replicacion y no transformante, y el cual lleva un material genético heterologo, y (b) transducir las células animales humanas o no humanas seleccionadas de: las células hematopoyéticas, las células malignas relacionadas con las células sanguíneas, y las células Cd34+ malignas o no malignas; poniendo en contacto las células con el vector del virus para transducir las células y expresar el material genético. Entre las aplicaciones de la técnica está la modificacion de las células hematopoyéticas por la transferencia de los genes, por ejemplo para generar inmunogenos del tumor a partir de las células malignas.
